January and February Resources

This month we have added the Law Book for 2012. It is the same as 2011, except the IRB have subtley changed the way pitches are marked out. We have included a before and after diagram helpfuly drawn up by a ref from rugbyrefs.com.

Also added are the Laws from 1881, some of us probably still remember them.

There has been a change by the South West Rugby about which team is responsible for resolving a shirt clash in the leagues...it is now the AWAY team.

If you ref Colts (U19) games, be aware that although the Laws appear to allow squeezeball, some referees find clubs expect it to be outlawed as there will be players from the U18 group playing too.

There is an interesting "What would you do?" question, one where the Laws don't seem to quite deal with a situation. The question is; what would you do if during a sin binning you found a player had been snuck on without you knowing it? Here's a direct link to the article.
